The In Between
When one chapter ends and another begins often there is an in between. Sometimes quiet, sometimes chaotic, oftentimes a little bit of both. I feel like I have been living in that space for a few months now.
In June we welcomed our third baby, an adorable daughter. The weeks following have been a time of rest and healing. Creatively, I wrote out her birth story with a few sketches included. Besides that I haven’t felt like I have had the time or honesty the energy to make things. In times or stress and busyness the first things to be paused for me, are making art and exercise. Probably the things I need most, but feel extra when my time and energy feel scarce.
For me, creativity and self care, come from the excess. When I have an abundance of time and energy. I also very much recognize that this is a season and life, like nature, will find harmony again.

The Next Step
To add to the feeling of chaos, we are moving, to Texas, in August. You may think “didn’t you just move to South Carolina?” You would be correct. We moved to South Carolina June 2024. In this season of life, my husband’s job dictates when, where, and how often we move. We are thankful for all of the incredible places his job has brought us. On the other hand, it also brings more goodbyes than we would sometimes like.
