About the Collection

wanderlust: the wish to travel far away and to many different places

Every painting tells a story. Wanderlust is a collection of stories told as paintings. There are 11 paintings in the series. Inspired by Japan, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, and Austria. All of the paintings were created in plein air or from my personal collection of photos. En plein air is a French phrase meaning “in the open air” and describes the process of painting a landscape outdoors.

My hope for this collection is that it inspires your own travels or the pieces bring back memories of places you have been.
