Bougainvillea

Suggested by my dear friend Athina.  This is my first bougainvillea painting. 

 

Growing up my mom grew these in our front garden. I fell into the plant one time and got scratched up. I nicknamed it “the grim reaper” plant. The thorns are no joke.

 

As I was painting and drawing this, I was very aware of how delicate and thin the flowers are. I really wanted to keep them looking transparent and thankfully watercolor lends itself well to that. This was made with watercolor pencils, watercolors, and inks.

Eligibility for Returns:

• Products are eligible for return within 30 days from the date of purchase.

• Products must be in their original condition with packaging intact.

• We work hard to package and ship art so that it arrives in the best condition possible.  We are not responsible for errors made by delivery services (USPS, FedEX, UPS, etc.). If your art arrives damaged please contact us (melinda@heartmelinda.com) ASAP and file a claim with the delivery service.

Refund Options:

• Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment method or store credit. 

• A 20% restocking fee will be charged for any print returns.  

Return Shipping:

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Special Considerations:

• Original works are unique pieces of art.  Please look closely at photos and read descriptions carefully.  

• Commissioned works of art are not eligible for returns or refunds. 

Processing Time:

• Please allow 10 business days for us to process your return and issue a refund once we receive the returned product.
