One of the most beautiful things in nature is a flower. I picked flowers that have some meaning to me: a rose from my yard, my Mom’s favorite flower, a flower that reminds me of my childhood, or a new flower I discovered. Beautiful, organic, and simple. I began by dying the pages with tea and watercolor to create interesting backdrops for the drawings. Then, using references, I set a timer for 10 minutes and drew each page with pens and colored pencils. This collection glorifies the beauty of flowers; each drawing created in a brief session expressing the short, but dazzling lifespan of these intensely colored beauties.
